Learn to Draw Comics, Flying Cats and Space Dogs! With Author and Illustrator John Gallagher
About
You can create your own comic characters with simple shapes! Best-selling comics author John Gallagher (Max Meow, Rex Rocket) shares his insight on making comics and helps you create a silly hero or villain. How will the heroic character save the day? That’s up to you! Following the event there will be a 15 minute conversation and a book signing with the author. Books will be available for sale from Scrawl Books. John Gallagher is an art teacher, and was the art director of the NWF’s “Ranger Rick” magazine, co-founder of “Kids Love Comics” (an organization that uses graphic novels to promote literacy), and leads workshops teaching kids how to create their own comics.
