Performing from 1-2pm Angela LaFlamme heads up a six-piece band from San Francisco that deftly re-imagines some of our favorite music from ’20s through the ’00s into her own swinging sound. Drawing on favorites from Billie Holiday to Tom Waits, the Cure to Count Basie, and also her own original material, this sextet embodies more than just a retro jukebox, it creates a memorable live show experience. Kash Killion and Killion’s Trillions Performing from 3-4pm American jazz cellist and member of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Kash Killion makes music that combines influences from world music, Sun Ra, jazz, and reggae. Christian Tumalan Trio Performing from 5-7pm Grammy Award-winning musician Christian Tumalan and his trio will perform intimate Latin jazz and avante-garde explorations. — What is the Lounge?
