The 9th Street Quartet Performs Ady's American Adventure

The 9th Street Quartet will present this family-friendly performance in partnership with Amadeus Concerts . "Ady's American Adventure" tells the story of Ady, a young boy who immigrates to the United States in the early 1920's. As he travels to Carnegie, Texas, Ady encounters a variety of musical styles and discovers that America is a nation of immigrants. After the concert, the musicians will offer a show-and-tell of their instruments. Although designed with school aged children in mind, this program is enjoyable for audiences of all ages. About the 9th Street Quartet The 9th Street Quartet is the Quartet-in-Residence for 9th Street Chamber Music – a chamber music performance and education program based in Northern Virginia. Since our formation in 2017, we have dedicated ourselves to making chamber music accessible to all, through performance series in intimate venues, and through our 9th Street Chamber Music String Quartet Intensive education program.
