Recorders through the Ages: A Mini-Concert
About
Many people are familiar with the small plastic recorders widely used in schools to teach children about music. But recorders come in many sizes, and composers have been creating music for recorders for at least 600 years! The Bear Trio, a local group of amateur players, will perform a mini-concert of recorder music, including Renaissance, Baroque, and 21 st -century selections. Learn how recorders and recorder music have changed over time; get a close-up look at the instruments; and join in the fun of making music. All ages welcome! Registration helpful, but not required.
