Coastal Scrub Habitat Restoration
About
Join us for a morning of volunteer work among scenic coastal terrace views and wildlife at Año Nuevo State Park! Habitat restoration activities may include weeding invasive plants, sheet mulching, native seed collection, and native planting & transplanting (dependent on the season). All ages are welcome, with parental/guardian supervision. Sun protection and closed-toe shoes are recommended, park staff will provide all necessary training, water, snacks, gloves, and tools! This work helps improve habitat for local wildlife, including the endangered San Francisco Garter Snake. Visit our website (https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=31963) for more details about this month's events.
