Tom Manganello from the SEC’s Office of Investor Education and Assistance will provide a brief overview of the mission of the SEC and some of the free resources that can help you build wealth and avoid scams. The briefing will discuss the impact of investment scams and some of the tactics fraudsters use to exploit investors. You will also learn about common frauds like imposter scams and relationship investment scams that can begin with seemingly accidental texts or social media contacts and can lead to devastating losses and repeat victimization.
