Read to Kira the Therapy Dog
About
Young readers ages 5-11 (siblings and parents are welcome to join) are invited to spend 10 minutes reading aloud to Kira. Learn more about the benefits of reading to a dog here. Registration is not required. 10 minute timeslots with a dog will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Sign up for timeslots will begin at the children's desk around 3:00 PM. We will try to accommodate as many children as we can without overwhelming Kira! Kira is part of the Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of Mass program. Her owner, Elif, is a volunteer.
