Germantown Novel Views Fiction Book Discussion - In-person
About
Join us to discuss the "The Thursday Merder Club" by Richard Osman. The Novel Views Fiction Book Discussion meets in Group Study Room 5, located on the lower level of the library, in the Children's Room Join us to celebrate the founding of MCPL 75 years ago by discussing a classic novel published in 1951, "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman. "In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet weekly in the Jigsaw Room to discuss unsolved crimes; together they call themselves The Thursday Murder Club. There's Red Ron, the infamous former socialist firebrand, still causing trouble; gentle Joyce, widowed, pining for another resident, but surely not as innocent as she seems; Ibrahim, a former therapist who understands the darker side of human nature; and Elizabeth? Well, no one is quite sure who she really is, but she's definitely not a woman to underestimate. When a local developer is found dead, the Thursday Murder Club suddenly find themselves in the middle of their first live case. The friends might be septuagenarians, but they are cleverer than most. Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before its too late?"-- Back cover. Print copies may be available at the Germantown Library after November 4, 2026. Available on Overdrive/Libby as an eBook and eAudiobook. Questions about this program? Contact the Germantown Library 240-777-0110 Looking for more fun things to do at MCPL?
