Craft the Collection: Vegetable Printing & Relief Embroidery Workshop
About
Open to Stanford students, staff, faculty, and affiliates. Join us at Craft the Collection: Vegetable Printing & Relief Embroidery Workshop! 🥔🪡🎨🌱 Inspired by In Focus: Asian American Art from the Collection, our inaugural Craft the Collection Workshop invites you to explore the Cantor’s collection through hands-on making. Drawing inspiration from Ruth Asawa’s vegetable printing and Pacita Abad’s trapunto textile work, we invite you to explore the artists’ techniques. Carve your own vegetable stamps, experiment with colorful prints, and try your hand at relief embroidery to customize a free tote bag or your own textiles. Stop by for snacks and refreshments and discover new ways to engage with the Cantor’s collection beyond the gallery walls. Come for the crafts, stay for the community. We can’t wait to see what you make! Must be affiliated with Stanford to participate. RSVP here. Warmly, The Cantor Student Advisory Committee ________ Accessibility Information or Requests Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University is committed to ensuring our programs are accessible to everyone.
