STEAM Sunday: Fall Sensory Bottles
About
The worlds of science and art collide at STEAM Sundays. We'll provide the supplies, you bring your curious and creative energy! For November, we'll be celebrating the fall season as we create sensory bottles. We'll discuss density, buoyancy, mixtures, and solutions, then we'll explore what we learned as we combine ingredients for our craft. We'll also chat about seasonal changes, how they impact the world around us, and how sensory objects can help us refocus and reset. Participants will leave with their very own ready-to-use sensory bottle. Through a brief lecture and hands-on experimenting and creating, STEAM Sundays allow participants to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math while working on an art project. After learning about a topic, the experimentation and note taking parts of the scientific process will be conducted through a craft. Everyone will go home with a finished project and better understanding of each chosen topic. Best for youth ages 5-12. Supplies are limited; registration required. A través de una breve lección, experimentos y creaciones práctica, los domingos STEAM permiten a los participantes aprender sobre ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, y matemáticas mientras trabajan en un proyecto de arte. Después de aprender sobre cierto tema, la experimentación y el tomar apuntes de este proceso científico se llevarán a cabo por medio de una artesanía.
