Maedeup: Traditional Korean Knot Workshop

Saturday, October 10 · 3 PM – 4 PM · Dublin, Dublin

About

Decorative knots are a common tradition among many cultures and countries. Join us in learning how to make knots from the Korean tradition, called maedeup . We will learn to make nalgae maedeup (“wing knot”), sometimes called jamjari maedeup (“dragonfly knot”). This program is suitable for adults and children over 10-years-old. No registration is required, but space is limited to the first 20 participants to show up on the day of the program. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org
