Based on Leepson's popular, concise biography Lafayette: Lessons in Leadership from the Idealist General , this program focuses on Lafayette's crucial role in the American victory over the British in the Revolutionary War, including dozens of slides that illustrate how the 19-year-old French nobleman became a Major General in the Continental Army, a close confidant of George Washington, and a beloved figure in the Colonial period and the Early Republic known far and wide as "Our Marquis."
