A Tribe Called Queer Book Club
About
A Tribe Called Queer Book Club at the Main Library - led by founder Sabine, this monthly book club centers the QTBIPOC experience, and intentionally discusses the work of QTBIPOC authors. We will read books written by both well known and emerging QTBIPOC authors. This book club centers self love, discovery, education, and our vision for the world we want to live in: one that does not degrade, diminish or dispose of us. Our goal is to share our stories, while reclaiming and return to our full humanity. Non-QTBIPOC folx are welcome in this book club, however, they must acknowledge their role. Non-QTBIPOC folx are asked to protect this space that intentionally centers the QTBIPOC experience; witness what is happening in the space and to themselves at the moment; and to honor, taking in what is shared and letting it mean something in their life. Participants of this book club acknowledge and accept that ALL are welcome regardless of race, gender, sexuality, body size and ability, income, job, and reading ability. The title for September is Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby RIvera. Please register at this link: https://airtable.com/appVze4W88DEFBJ6E/shrr3SyGnT5KWc2DA
