Faith and Blue Weekend

The Alexandria Police Department invites faith communities, neighborhood organizations, businesses and community partners to host events during National Faith & Blue Weekend, October 9–12, 2026. Faith & Blue Weekend brings APD’s Public Safety Plan to life, especially its Relationship pillar, by creating meaningful opportunities for officers, faith leaders and residents to connect and build trust. Faith & Blue, launched in 2020 by police organizations across the nation and MovementForward, Inc., has grown into one of the nation’s largest police-community engagement initiatives. Events include community conversations, service projects, shared meals, youth activities, open houses, wellness events or other opportunities that bring police officers, faith organizations and community members together. Activities should support one or more of APD’s identified faith pillars: Peace, Unity, Leadership, or Hope.
