About

The library is excited to partner with Pages on the Path for a very special reading experience during Banned Books Week. Pages on the Path, an audiobook walking club, invites you to get lost in a good book while exploring neighborhoods across the DMV. Bring your headphones, walking shoes, and press play on your current audiobook as we stroll through the Southwest Neighborhood. Participants are welcome to listen to any audiobook, but for Hispanic Heritage Month, we will feature Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye using the Library's Libby App. Participants will be required to sign a waiver at the beginning of the walk. We also encourage participants to wear sunscreen, protective attire (hat/sunglasses), and bring plenty of water. Why You’ll Love It • Perfect for audiobook lovers and readers seeking community during Banned Books Week • Combines wellness, nature walks, and books • A low-pressure social experience for literary and outdoor enthusiasts • Ideal for solo attendees and reading buddies Please note each individual must complete their own registration including your full name.
