Friday, September 25–Sunday, September 27, 2026 Join us to celebrate 10 years of the National Museum of African American History and Culture with a weekend full of music, dance, art, family activities, food, and community. Visitors of all ages are welcome to gather, create, move, and make memories together during special daytime programs for the Museum’s 10 th Anniversary. Welcome Home: 10 th Anniversary Community Weekend at the Museum is part of the larger celebration, The Reunion. Throughout the weekend, you can experience the joy, creativity, and connections that make the Museum a place for everyone to come together, reflect, and celebrate. THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND Special 10 th Anniversary Menu Experience Sweet Home Café Celebrate the Museum’s milestone through food and flavor with a special 10th Anniversary menu experience at Sweet Home Café. 10 th Anniversary Merchandise Museum Store Commemorate the Museum’s first decade with special 10 th Anniversary merchandise available in the Museum Store throughout the weekend. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 The Meaning of Home: A Treasures Zine Project 12:00–3:00 PM Second Floor Classroom Ages 8 and up What does home mean to you? Drop in for a hands-on zine-making experience and use photographs, drawings, words, and collage to explore the people, places, objects, and memories that create a sense of home and belonging.
