Exhibit | De y para el pueblo / By and for the People: Revolutionary Mexican Prints
About
The exhibit features highlights from The Bancroft Library's extensive collection of prints. The show examines how a Mexico City-based artists collective, the Taller de Gráfica Popular (Workshop for Popular Graphic Art), built an artistic legacy, tracing its roots from José Guadalupe Posada's portrayals of everyday Mexican life, to its enduring influence on artists on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border today.
