Ixia presents chamber music from across the centuries, pairing familiar masterworks with lesser-known and contemporary compositions. Through storytelling, historical context, and connections to other art forms, Ixia invites audiences to discover new perspectives on the music and its relationship to their own experiences. For this performance, founding artists Poochikian and Johnson are joined by guest violinist Celaya Kirchner and violist Santiago Vazquez-Loredo. Together, these accomplished chamber musicians bring a wealth of experience performing with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and festivals throughout the United States and abroad. Now in its inaugural 2026–2027 season, Ixia seeks to create musical experiences that inspire curiosity, encourage connection, and leave audiences with something to carry beyond the concert hall.
